Pricing & Settings Guide
Control Your Finances & Notifications!
The Settings area is your control panel for defining how tow fees are calculated and who gets notified about key events. Create flexible pricing structures with base fees and optional extras, and manage email notifications to keep your team and partners informed.
Why it's crucial: Ensures accurate billing, automates fee calculations during vehicle release, and streamlines communication through automated notifications.
Accessing Settings:
Navigate to the 'Settings' section from your main menu. This page is divided into main areas: Pricing Configurations and Notification Settings.
Notification Settings:
Stay informed automatically! Configure who receives email alerts for important tow events:

Tow Created Notifications:
- Check the 'Enabled' box to activate.
- In 'Recipients', enter comma-separated email addresses.

Tow Released Notifications:
- Check the 'Enabled' box to activate.
- In 'Recipients', enter comma-separated email addresses.
After making changes to notifications, be sure to click the "Save Settings" or "Update Settings" button (likely near the notification section).
Managing Pricing Configurations:
This section lists all the different pricing structures you've defined (e.g., "Standard PPI", "Heavy Duty", "After Hours").
- Viewing: See names/descriptions of existing configs.
- Adding: Click "Add Pricing", "New Configuration", or to create a new one (details below).
- Editing: Click "Edit", "Configure", or next to a config to modify it (details below).
- Deleting: Click "Delete" or next to a config.
Deletion Constraint: Cannot delete if assigned to any tows. Reassign tows first.
Creating / Editing a Pricing Configuration:
Clicking "Add Pricing" or "Edit" takes you to the 'Pricing Configuration' page where you define the specific fees:
- Name & Description: Give the configuration a clear, unique name (e.g., "Standard Impound Rates"). Add an optional description.
- Enabled: Check this box to make this pricing config active and selectable on tow records.

Base Fees: Enter the standard costs (e.g., 150.00, 75.50):
- Tow Fee: Standard charge per tow.
- Drop Fee: Charge if cancelled on-site.
- Mile Fee: Charge per mile (if used).
- Storage Fee: Charge per day in yard.

Extras (Optional Charges): Define additional service fees:
- Click "Add Extra" to create a new row.
- For each extra, enter a Name (e.g., "Dollies", "Winching") and its Price.
- Use the remove/delete button to remove an extra.
These extras will appear as checkboxes on the Tow Configuration page for selection.
- Save Configuration: Click "Save", "Create", or "Update" to save this pricing structure.
